This post was sponsored by Walmart but all thoughts are my own!

Our home was purchased with the intention of it being a fixer upper. Being that it was a cape style from the 1950’s, the downstairs was choppy and while everything was overall in good shape, the decor was not our style. Of course decorating shows on tv make it look easy but it has proved to be a long, crazy process. After 2 years of nonstop renos but our home is done and decorating is in full swing!

Kitchen before

Pre-renovation our kitchen had a defined dining room (what you see first in the pic above), kitchen space and to the back was a hallway leading to the master bedroom & attached bathroom. A first floor master did not work for us so we took out all the walls, opened up the floor plan and put in white cabinets along with new flooring and lighting. The old master became our dining room.

And here is the finished product:

Such a difference right?! We love how open and airy it is now. It is actually a room we love to be in!

When I show people the after pictures, I get asked about our kitchen table often. It is the Lexington 5-Piece Dining Set with Round Table and 4 Window Back Chairs in Antique Grey and believe it or not, it is available HERE at Walmart! We have had it about a year and a half now and it has held up great!

Walmart has tons of affordable decor items and I love putting little details into my kitchen before guests come over! Hydrangeas go perfectly in this Mason Recycled Blown Glass Vase on the tabletop.

This Better Homes & Gardens Wooden Tray in Gray Wash is perfect for serving guests. I love this Gibson Home Decha 4-Piece Mason Jar Glass Set (currently on clearance) for serving lemonade or a cold drink on a hot summer day! Additionally, I picked up this set of 4 White Porcelain Fruit Bowls with rose gold trim. They are gorgeous and half off at the moment!
