Guys…I caved.  I am the first person to say “can’t they just wait for Thanksgiving to decorate” but this year holiday magic started a little early in our house.

Our home was undergoing a major first floor renovation last year and we weren’t able to decorate or put up our Christmas tree until the day before Christmas.  Ryan, then four, was devastated.   Fast forward to this year and we are under going yet another renovation.  A couple weeks ago, Ryan asked me if our home would be done by December.  I told him no and he started to cry.

It was then and there that I decided this year would be the year I hype up the holidays at an obnoxious level because these kids deserve a little holiday magic!

Thankfully, Walmart is a one stop shop where I can create a comfortable and stylish space on a major budget.   I decided to to focus on getting Ryan’s room holiday ready and surprise him when he got home from school one day.  With a few clicks of my mouse, I had Instagram (and blog post!) worthy decor shipped right to  my door (for free since they offer free ship on orders of $35+) from Walmart’s websiteWalmart offers a HUGE holiday decor section and I had a hard time narrowing down what I was going to buy!

I grabbed two pack of Mainstays Throw Pillows that I knew Ryan would love!  They were cute and affordable…score!  You can shop more Mainstays throw pillows here.

I am obsessed with this wooden sign that went perfectly on the wall by his bed.  It is the perfect little touch that adds so much to the room!

The buffalo check throw on his bed is SO incredibly soft and can be used year round which was a huge bonus.  Finally, I figured what gets a kid in the mood for the holidays more than his own tree?!  The Belham Living 2ft Flocked Christmas Tree was under $25 and goes perfectly on his night stand right next to his OK to Wake clock (if you haven’t heard of it, it turns green when it is “ok” to get up in the morning!  It has basically saved my life from early morning wakeups)!

Ryan came home from school and was so excited for his room.  Despite everything I may have said in years past about those early holiday decorators, it is so exciting for me that the holiday magic has started in our house already!  Thank you to Walmart for sponsoring this post and making it happen without breaking the bank!
