Growing up, I am pretty sure I asked my parents for a dog monthly.  The answer was always no but I kept trying.  Alex and I started dating when I was 17 and once things got serious and we moved in together post-college, I channeled my inner 9 year old girl and bugged him about a dog monthly.  Finally one December day, I arrived to our townhouse to find a big box under a Christmas tree Alex had bought and decorated.  Out popped the most adorable PUPPY ever!
