Decorating our new finished basement playroom space has been so much fun!  I have pinned things for a year but executing is usually my problem.  I decided I wanted to display the kids’ artwork on the wall.  There were several ideas I contemplated trying- various frames, clipboards, something magnetic-but ultimately I decided to go with a Picasso quote and rope with clothespins displaying the artwork. 

I absolutely love how it turned out. Ryan is so excited to see his artwork hanging up!  For days, every time we went down to play, he would light up as he saw the wall and exclaim “I did that!”  My heart melts!

What you need:

  • Rope
  • Nails
  • Scissors
  • Hammer
  • Clothespins (you can paint your own or buy them colored.  I got mine colored off amazon. I put the link below.)

 

I nailed the rope to the wall and hid the nails by twisting it back over the nail.  Super easy and it looks cute!

This is one of those DIY’s that takes 20 minutes but wows people whey they see it!  It was well worth the time and money to do!
